About the Organisers

This show is being put on by Component-Shop (Iain & Natasha Lewis) & Dave Jones (Stavros)
The 2017 show will be the second such event we have organised, building on the success of
the 2016 show which was organised in just 30 days! Having much more time for the 2017
show, means that we can achieve much more & make this a really great show.

The primary goal of running this event, is to keep a good little show going, we are not out to
make huge profits.

About the Show

For a number of years a model boat show has been held at the Hermitage Leisure Centre,
run by Mark Williams of A Model World. In 2016 it looked as if the show would not go ahead
as Mark had emigrated to Australia & there was nothing in place for the show to continue,
at that point we stepped in & with literally just a month before the date of the show, we got
things going again. Sadly with so little time to get things planned, there were a number of
clubs & traders that were unable to make it, however, for 2017 we have had more time, so
it should be a really good show.
The 2017 Coalville show will also be the first outing for our brand new 24 foot square boat pool, so this year there will be the opportunity for you to sail your boat &/or watch others sail.
